This is what I woke up to on Saturday morning.
Isn't it beautiful?
I just love how the snow was sticking on every branch.
The sky was so blue and the sun was out.
It almost looks fake. How can that much snow stick on each branch?
It's lightly snowing today, nice big flakes. It looks so peaceful.
With it snowing and looking so much like winter I had to make this mitten penny rug.
Remember? I bought the pattern earlier this year at Primitive Gatherings.
Click here if you would like to go back to that post.
I had so many small pieces of brown wool that I thought I would make so woolie gingerbread boys.
They look so cute with their red wool scarves.
I put a string on the back to hang them.
I can just picture them on a Christmas tree with other woolie ornaments.
One question...should I put eyes on? I would use beads for eyes.
What do you think?
I thought I would share a picture of Jack and I after a long day of walking in Chicago.
Jack had a day off of school to make a long weekend.
We wanted to do something fun so we went to Chicago and spent the night there.
It was a little cold and windy but what do you expect in the middle of winter.
We took the train so I had some time to do a little stitching.
Penny rugs are the easiest things to take along.
I usually keep a stash of penny rugs ready to sew
I have more on ebay if you're interested...click here.
I hope you all are having a great weekend.
I ending mine with what else....stitching.
Enjoy your day,
Leanne

Hi Leanne,
We had all that snow too...I think all of Wisconsin had it - but I will take that over the Tornadoes!
What great Penny Rugs....

Hi Leanne,
I see you mentioned Primitive Gatherings ~ that's one of my favorite guilt shops to go to.
Love all your wonderful creations!!!
I thought the snow was so beautiful on Friday night. I love it when it sticks to all the trees too!

Wow! Beautiful snow pictures! March snows are the best! It is pretty for a day or two and then melts pretty quick! Thanks for sharing!
Just found your delightful blog, and so glad that I did. I love your woolie gingerbread boys, how charming. Your trip to Chicago sounded like so much fun. I was raised in Michigan City, IN, and we use to catch the South Shore and go into the city. I miss that. Love your blog and I will definitely be back.
